Only those that risk going too far can possibly
find out how far one can go.

IDEA has launched an annual scholarship to involve students in the association’s activities. The objectives are to foster communications between our students and the academic staff by encouraging student leadership in the field, providing students
with the opportunity to engage in the activities of IDEA and encouraging cross-institutional connections between students amongst IDEA institutions.
2007 Scholarship details
In 2007 the scholarship will fund $200 towards airfare for one student representative from each of the member institutions to the third IDEA conference and workshop INHABITING RISK, Wellington, New Zealand, 2 - 6 July 2007. Conference registration will be covered by your program and the convenors of the conference are in the process of organising places for students to stay with Wellington based students. Visit http://idea-inhabitrisk.massey.ac.nz/home.html for further details of the confernece.
Scholarship student activities
As the student representative you will attend the INHABITING RISK conference and be part of a half day discussion with student representatives of the twelve member universities. On return to your home university you will communicate the discussion outcomes to your peers and academic staff. Each selected student representative will agree with their course coordinator the communication format (possibilities include a poster presentation, written report or verbal presentation).
If chosen you get to meet and network with top interior design students from programmes across NZ and Australia.
Selection process
Full and part time students enrolled in the second or third year of interior design/interior architecture degrees at the twelve IDEA member institutions are eligible. One student representative will be selected by their peers at each institution. The process will include a proposal to the student body in the form of a written/visual poster of what you propose to discuss with other student representatives and the issues you think are important to your education in interior design/interior architecture.
