INT 6202: SECOND YEAR DRAWING
PROJECT THREE
EXERCISE : DRAWING PLANS
STEPS:
Make a series of freehand drawings of the plans shown in the lecture.
Select one of these drawings
Select one of the supplied patterns as a site for your plan
Experiment using sketches to show the relationship between the site and plan
Sketches:
(x3 Drawings) Through shading, hatching and line weight show the relationship between site and plan. Illustrate a different design consideration in each drawing eg. texture, colour, lighting, weight, materiality.
(x3 Drawings) Develop and refine your original x3 sketches.
Instrumental Drawing:
Choose one of your sketches to refine through instrumental drawing
FINAL REQUIREMENT:
1. x6 Freehand plan drawings on selected site/ground
2. One finished instrumental plan drawing
USE THE FOLLOWING:
A3 cartridge paper
Ink pen, pencils for the freehand drawings
Butter paper
A sharp 2H mechanical pencil for your completed instrumental drawing.
CONSIDER:
- The sharpness of your pencil
- Your use of lineweight
- Composition of your drawings on the sheet.
