Hi all,
hopefully you have all enjoyed the two workshops over the last four weeks. Here is what is happening next week, an opportunity to review and reflect on your work from this year. There is also some information on important dates coming up. Lets make this last week of studio really useful and productive for everyone and then relax! Just one final reminder, the admin team have asked me to remind you that enrollments for 2008 are open online and classes are filling up fast!
Cheers,
Kathy
Monday 5 November:
2nd year students
tutorials for both studio and drawing with Lotte, please see schedule on her office door.
3rd year students
10:15 meet in room 1159 (the fridge) for a presentation by the Hot House, which is a collaborative design studio that you may want to take part in next year. This is a chance to find out about Hot House projects so that you have time over the summer to consider if this is for you! After that we will start individual tutorials.(See schedule Kathy's office door).
All students
Some time on Monday (not when the HH presentation is on), you should all load your animation into the folder on the desktop of the computer in room 1159. Directions for this are below. This is so that we can have a screening on Tuesday (and so that we can include your animation in your assessment).
Tuesday 6 November:
2nd year students
carry on with organising your studio and drawing work for presentation.
3rd year students
Individual tutorials with Kathy and Lotte continue (see schedule Kathy's office door)
All students
Animation screening! 12:30 in the fridge! Come and see the work of all your mates!
Thursday 8 November:
All students
Kathy and Lotte both available for individual tutorials, sign up sheets will be on our office doors.
Monday 12 November:
All students
Make sure all your work for drawing and studio is ready in your studio spaces by 9:30am for assessment.
Tuesday 20 November:
1:00pm - 7:00pm All students remove work and personal items from studio spaces, drawers and lockers. It is really important that you do this as all furniture will be moved from these spaces from early the next morning for the grad show. If you cannot get in at this time make sure you ask someone else to take your work away for you.
Instructions for handing in your animation work:
A folder called ‘INTERIOR DESIGN ANIMATIONS’ will be set up on the desktop of the Computer in Rm 1159. (PASSWORD TO LOG-ON : "design")
Could all students copy their published animation file to this folder. Please only copy your published QuickTime movie, do not put your working files in this folder.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Render them as Quicktimes using the Soreson Video 3 codec.
Please name the file with your name and year group (e.g. JONATHAN, THIRD YEAR). All animations should also have your name in the tile or credits of the movie.
It is very important that you copy your published movie to this folder as it will be partly assessed during the screening next week.
If you have any trouble publishing your work Jill has kindly offered to help you via email: : jill.wills@gmail.com
