Architecture Lectures Thursday at Lunchtime

Free and held on Thursdays at lunchtimes from 12.30-1.30pm in Room 2075 (Lecture Theatre 1) of Building 1, Unitec.


Thursday 3rd May - Mike Grunsell, director of LPD Ltd, an independent lighting design company in Auckland, will be talking about his experiences in a seminar entitled 'Lighting of Historic Buildings in Florence, Italy'. Mike joined a team of experts in November 2006, charged with developing a lighting strategy for Forte Belvedere.

Thursday 17th May - Dr Tanja Poppelreuter, art and architecture historian from Germany, will give a seminar entitled 'Re-invention of the tenement in the 1920s: Walter Gropius and the sociologist Franz Muller-Lyer'.

Thursday 31st May - Dr Amanda Hyde de Kretser, architect and part-time academic at Unitec, will present a seminar entitled 'Architecture inspired by New Zealand: A dip into the game of architectural criticism in NZ' which will partly dwell on the writing of her recent best-seller book Architecture Inspired by New Zealand.
